The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Madam Isha Johansen has today officially communicated to the SLFA, that the nine month FIFA suspension on Sierra Leone has been lifted with immediate effect by the FIFA Council ahead of the FIFA congress on the 5th June in Paris.
Madam Johansen arrived in Paris early this morning together with Secretary General Christopher Kamara.
In a phone conversation a few hours ago President Johansen congratulated the “fortitude and faith of the people of Sierra Leone in believing that we would rise above our challenges in football.”
“I look forward to a unified football family built on integrity and pride of a nation. May God bless us all and God bless Sierra Leone and Eid Mubarak to all.” Johansen added.
