The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Africa West Area in collaboration with the Ga Manste Foundation unveiled a newly renovated and improved King Takie Tawiah I Cluster of Schools in Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region.

The initiative underscores their joint commitment to investing in the future of Ghanaian children.

Elder S. Gifford Nielsen, overseeing the Africa region for the Church of Latter-day Saints, highlighted the school’s inauguration as part of the Church’s broader initiative of bringing Ghanaians to Christ.

Elder Nielsen emphasized the importance of shielding students from risks while ensuring their well-being and progress in education is ensured.

The king of the Ga State, His Royal Majesty Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, who was overwhelmed looking at how his great Grand-father legacy has been transformed in a modern state-of-the-art facility praised the church of later day saint for keeping to their promise and believes their friendship will go a long way in making Accra work again. He called upon the Ga people to prioritize education, underscoring its pivotal role in societal development.

Representing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Kwartei Titus Glover commended the comprehensive refurbishment project. The school now boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a library with over 2,000 books, an ICT centre with 40 computers, renovated classroom blocks, an astroturf football pitch with spectator stands, and upgraded amenities like toilets, a canteen, and security features.
