The Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Mr. Asante Berko has resigned from office.

Information available to Net 2 Television indicates that, Mr. Berko tendered his resignation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on April 15, 2020.

A statement from the Office of the President and signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, said the President has duly accepted Mr. Berko’s resignation.

Mr. Berko has been cited by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the United States of America for facilitating the payment of bribes totaling some 4.5 Million Dollars to Ghanaian government officials between 2015 and 2016.

Civil proceedings have since been initiated against him.
