Black Princesses attacker Doris Boaduwaa is disappointed following Ghana’s elimination from the ongoing FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Ghana failed to record a win at the group stages, losing all three matches against the USA, Japan and The Netherlands.

The Black Princesses bow out of the tournament after losing 3-1 to the Netherlands on Wednesday.

Ghana went into the game knowing the only way they would progress to the next stage is by beating Holland with a goal margin of six.

However, it was the Europeans who took the lead in the 28th minute through Liz Rijsbergen and held on till halftime.

The Dutch doubled their lead after the break by Ziva Caroline Henry. Ghana pulled one back immediately from a beautiful strike from Doris Boaduwaa.

Liz Rijsbergen grabbed her second of the game in the 65th minute before Marit Auee netted from the spot with six minutes remaining to seal victory for the Dutch.

Doris Boadu in a post expressed her disappointment after Ghana’s elimination.

“The disappointment is huge after this elimination, we could not reach our goal.

“Nothing is ever easy, we keep fighting to prepare for the future and come back even stronger ✊🏾🙌🏾

“Thank you for your unwavering support since the beginning of this World Cup”.
