The election results from polling stations across the country have started tricking in. Reports suggest that there are a few places where voting are still ongoing for those who were in queues before the polls closed.

Also, in some parts of the Ashanti Region heavy rainfall is expected to delay counting and the declaration of result.

The elections have been generally peaceful, however, some persons were injured in a violent incident at the Awutu Senya East constituency.

Two persons who came to the polling station in a black Land Cruiser SUV shot at the occupants of a KIA saloon car parked at the polling station. The incident disrupted voting for the rest of the day.

More soon.
