A team of five talented Ghanaian athletes, accompanied by three officials from the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (GBFA), is gearing up to compete in the renowned Arnold Classic Africa.

The GBFA delegation, led by General Secretary Madam Christine Ashley and Athletes Commissioner Godwin Frimpong, departed from Kotoka International Airport three days ago in preparation for the highly anticipated event, which kicks off tomorrow, May 19th, 2023.

With the aim of surpassing their previous achievements, the Ghanaian bodybuilders are determined to make their mark on the international stage.

The Arnold Classic Africa is a prestigious competition that draws top-tier athletes from around the continent and beyond.

Team Ghana is eager to showcase their incredible skills and dedication to the sport of bodybuilding, representing their country with pride.

Expressing their gratitude, the GBFA issued a statement recognizing the individuals and organizations that have contributed significantly to their participation in this grand event.

Chief Promoter of Arnold Classic Africa, Wayne Price, President of the Table Tennis Association and 1st Vice President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu, and Director General of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi, were among those acknowledged for their support.

The GBFA also extended their appreciation to National/PRO Card Athlete Mr. Godwin Frimpong, loyal friend Mr. Afriyie, GBFA President Mr. Abdul Hayye Yartey, financial supporter Iron Man, and GBFA Secretary General Ms. Christiana Ashley for their instrumental roles in making the Ghanaian team’s participation in the Arnold Classic Africa possible.

The GBFA remains committed to the development and promotion of bodybuilding and fitness in Ghana, continuously working towards achieving greater success in the sport.

The team’s participation in the Arnold Classic Africa serves as a testament to the talent and potential within the Ghanaian bodybuilding community.

As the competition unfolds, all eyes will be on the Ghanaian athletes as they strive to leave a lasting impression on the international bodybuilding stage and bring pride to their nation.
