A group of mechanics operating along the Pokuase Court road have declared their support for Hon Ken Ohene Agyapong ahead of the November 4, New Patriotic Party delegates congress to elect a flag bearer for the 2024 presidential election.
The group says the country is at a crossroads where it needs a leader who is bold and fearless to take on the challenges of the country head-on.
The Assin Central MP, Hon Ken Agyapong, who placed second in last week’s Super Delegates Congress of the NPP, has promised to change the economic fortune of the country with pragmatic reforms based on Patriotism, Honesty and Discipline.
Buoyed by grassroots support, Hon Ken Agyapong popular known as Akompreko has presented himself as the aspirant for the grassroots of the party, and has promised to prioritize their interests should he be the leader of the NPP.
Speaking to NET2 television, the leader of the group, Kwasi Addo says his members will rally and appeal to the delegates all over the country to ensure Hon Ken is elected.
Kwaku Poku who is a member of Amasaman No.20 Garages says they are counting on Hon Ken to win and attend to the needs of the mechanics just as he has opened companies offering employment for the youth of Ghana.Mr Abednego Larweh a staunch NDC member says he will vote for Hon Ken Agyapong as he sees him as forthright and a clean politician to lead Ghana.

Hon Kennedy Agyapong will face competition from Vice President Alhaji Dr Bawumia, Alan Kyeremarten and former agriculture minister, Dr Afriyie Akoto and Mr Addai Nimoh.

The winner of the November 4 election will represent the New Patriotic Party in the December 2024 general elections seen as a historic one for the NPP.

The NPP administration remains focused on breaking the eight-year cycle of political governance in Ghana, which has seen the 2 major political powerhouses, NPP and NDC alternate power, and should that happen, it will be the first, in the 30-year history of the fourth republic.
