George Darko, a seasoned highlife performer from Ghana who is known for several successful songs, has passed away.

The well-known highlife musician passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024; his cause of death is still unknown.

His family has not yet released a formal statement.

His passing transpires shortly after K.K. Kabobo, another legendary figure in highlife, also passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

The late musician Nana Apem Darko I, a stool name for the Tufuhene of Akropong, was well-known for his work with Akoo Te Brofo until his passing.

He has been active in the music industry since the late 1960s and has performed as a guitarist, singer, composer, and songwriter.
