The Deputy Minister for Education in charge of COTVET, Gifty Twum Ampofo, Says the government of Akufo Addo is committed to revamp and transform TVET to make it the bedrock of our industrialization agenda.

Mrs Gifty Ampofo revealed that cabinet has also approved the five year strategic plan for TVET transformation.

Speaking to journalists during the launch of Skill Gap Analysis and Audit report she indicated that the skills gap analysis and audit report has been put together to help government to draw a comprehensive framework which will guide policy formulation and curriculum development on TVET going forward.

She further revealed that the report will address the unemployment graduate we have in the country because students are going to gain skill which will be needed by employers.

The Chief Executive Officer of COTVET, Dr Fred Asamoah also said the recent distributed Ambulance to all the constituencies in the country are in good shape and if it will work effectively it requires a robust TVET and because of that government is going to build 32 state of the art TVET center which will train Ghanaians on various skill including auto body mechanics to service the Ambulances.
