Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League after a 3-1 win over Huracanes FC on Sunday evening.

Tracey Twum set the ball rolling with a sublime free kick to give Ampem Darkoa the lead in the 9th minute after Captain Jennifer Owusuaa was brought down on the edge of the box. Tracey Twum made no mistake, as she curled the ball into the top corner for the opener.

Goalkeeper Debora Brown made some crucial saves to keep her side in the game with the Ghanaian champions gong into the break with a 1-0 lead.

After the interval – Tracey Twum again profited from a defensive mix-up to score her second of the night.

Substitute Nyayimaya scored the third in the 88th minute after a brilliant team move before Huracanes FC clawed back a consolation goal in the 92nd minute.

The result seals a semi-final spot for Ampem Darkoa Ladies who will now face Sporting Casablanca in Wednesday’s semi-final.
