Asante Kotoko have been ordered by the world’s football governing body, FIFA, to settle Esperance de Tunis their remaining amount own them in the transfer of striker Emmanuel Clottey.

Asante Kotoko have been given an ultimatum of April 6th, 2020 to make full payment to the Tunisian side or else see themselves demoted to Division One.

Emmanuel Clottey prematurely terminated his contract with Esperance of Tunis in 2015 to join Asante Kotoko in a fee around $180,000.00.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko recently transferred midfielder Kwame Bonsu “Conte” to Esperance in June 2019 in an amount of $150,000.00 and are yet to receive payment after a year.

Esperance de Tunis are demanding for a transfer fee of $30,000.00 from Asante Kotoko to make full payment of the transfer of Emmanuel Clottey to the club in 2015.

The Tunisian side reported Asante Kotoko to FIFA and have ordered them to pay the balance of $30,000.00.

Meanwhile, Management of Asante Kotoko are preparing documents of the Emmanuel Clottey transfer which is said to be missing at the moment.
