The NPP Chairman for Asuogyaman, Dr. Godfred Akyea Darkwah has given up his hotel for the sewing of nose/mouth masks which are being produced free of charge to the people of the area.

According to them, this is to make every person walking in the soils of Asuogyaman protect himself/herself with at least one mask. This was made clear by Paul Ansah, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Asuogyaman.
He said with that agenda in view, they hope to produce so much to service everyone.

Speaking at the production centre, Paul Ansah said they don’t want to hear any excuse from anyone for not wearing the mask. He said the project is bringing some income to tailors & seamstresses in the area.

To top it all, Paul Ansah said he is donating his 6 months salary to support the fight against COVID-19

From the mask production centre at Senchi, Paul Ansah moved to Apegusu where 10 cases of COVID-19 was earlier recorded.

He donated 4,000 masks, 10,000 hand sanitizers, Veronica buckets and some food stuffs including rice, plantain, vegetable oil etc to the Queen Mother of the area, Nana Adwoa Oduraa III to support the fight against the disease in the community.

In her response, the queen mother expressed much gratitude and called on all to use the masks. She said apart from stigmatization, infected persons go through so much suffering.

Nana Adwoa Oduraa III therefore advised all to make it a point to wear the mask wherever they find themselves.
