As part of effort to boost the government historic flagship programs like: Planting for Food and Jobs( PFJ), Planting for Export and Rural Development( PERD) to enhance Agriculture which is the back bone of the economy,Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly in the Ashanti region led by DCE Hon Nana Okyere Tawiah Antwi, Mr Andrews Mensah (District Co-ordinating Director) and the Assembly at large have empowered 50 farmers with 4000 free coconut seedlings worth Gh 35,000 cedis ( old 350 million cedis) to create worth for their folks.

He commended the government for the flagship program which has increased food security in the country and also logistics given to all Agriculture Department nationwide.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the government and the Assembly for the free distribution of the coconut seedlings as promised to make good usage of the seedlings.
