Top Nigerian acts; Burna boy, Arya Starr, Fireboy DML, Omah Lay, Cuppy and Rema, who have had the best of career journeys are scheduled to play at this year’s Wireless Festival 2022.

Wireless Festival, after returning to the musical festival scenes in 2021 will take place this year in July, across three sites, that is two in London and one in Birmingham.

The Nigerian acts are definitely going to showcase their afrobeat style whilst pulling off their ‘A-game to dazzle fans.

Cuppy who is with BBC1 Xtra will also be a host on one of the festival days. Coverage of the Wireless Festival 2022 will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1Xtra which is a first-time partner for the festival.

It really is great to see African music thriving in international spaces.
