Ghana Cocoa Board, China-Africa Development Fund and Genertec International Corporation signs understanding of corporation on cocoa processing plant in Sefwi-Wiawso.
One Million dollars has been budgeted for the project and it is expected to start early next year.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Accra the Chief Executive Officer of Cocoa Board, Mr Boahen Aidoo indicated that the project is under the Public Private Partnership which is to financed by Sino Africa fund and China Development Bank.
Mr Aidoo further indicated that the project is going to have a mutual benefit on a win win situation.
Mr Aidoo said the factory which is going to further improve upon the local economy especially at Sefwi Wiawso.
The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Mr Zhou Wang said China is committed to the development of Ghanaian and his office as the Ambassador will work closely with cocoa board to make sure the Cocoa Processing company at Sefwi Wiawso becomes successful.
