The Ghana COCOBOD today took delivery of sanitary items be distributed to all Cocoa farmers from Barry Callebaut as part of their contribution towards the fight against coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Speaking to the managing director, Barry Callebaut,Mrs Charity Sackitey, she said they are supporting the government and the Cocoa Farmers in preventing the Coronavirus pandemic which is affecting the country and humanity.

Mrs Charity Sacketey called on all Cocoa farmers to comply with all the protocols in mitigation of coronavirus pandemic

The Chief Executive Officer, Ghana COCOBOD, Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo, indicated that the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic will not in anyway affects the production of Cocoa in 2020 Cocoa season.

Mr Aidoo was grateful for the donation and said the items would be distributed to all Cocoa farmers in the country and called on other stakeholder organization to do same.
