The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development is embarking on vigorous disinfection exercise in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions as part of government efforts to contain the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.

In all 43 markets in Ahafo, 78 in Bono East and 125 in the Bono Region and the principal Streets across the regions are being disinfected.

The Bono Regional Minister Mrs Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson said the exercise has received a major boasts from all stakeholders across the region, and commended the people in the region for strictly adhering to the directives from government.

The Bono Region Chairman of the New Patriotic Party Kwame Baffoe Abronye DC also said the exercise has been very successful and suggested that government should make conscious efforts to periodically undertake this disinfection exercise as part of measures to sanitize our communities.
