The maiden conference of the women’s wing of the new Patriotic Party has ended with a call by the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, for Ghanaians to give the President four more years in office.

The Second Lady made this endorsement at a rally to climax the National women’s conference of the New Patriotic Party held over the weekend in the western regional capital of Sekondi.

The 3 day conference brought together women functionaries within the party, including national, regional and constituency officers, ministers of state, parliamentarians, MMDCES, and other leading members and sympathizers of the new Patriotic Party.

Samira Bawumia, in her address thanked the women for their hard work to achieve victory and assume the role of govt. She cautioned the NPP faithful to be wary of attempts by the NDC to negate the good works of the government.

The Second Lady while urging the women to trumpet the good works of the government,  appealed to Ghanaians to offer the president another term to continue his good works.

Earlier on, the audience were addressed by some leading party officials including the Women’s Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, Elizabeth Ohene and Hajia Alima Mahama. Elizabeth Ohene reminded the women to guard against complacency encouraging them to endeavor to continue to work till Dec 6 2020.

Hajia Alima Mahama urged the women to continue highlighting the good works of the government including all the flagship programs that are bearing fruits.

The National Women’s Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, emboldened the NPP fraternity to be steadfast in the govt, encouraging them to continue trumpeting the achievement of govt.

The maiden national women’s congress of the governing party was to galvanize the women base of the party, take stock of their activities and strategise to implement their vision ahead of the 2020 general elections.
