The Ghana Tourism Authority has put in precautionary measures for all hospitality Industries i.e hotels and restaurants to he followed duly to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

Among such measures put in place includes the availability of hand sanitizers, wash basins and deregents to be placed at vantage areas in both the hotels and restaurants among other tourist sites.

Speaking to Omannews, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Kwasi Agyemang said most of the people who travel to Ghana first lodge in hotels or guest houses and visit our restaurants, it has become necessary for the authority to liase with the health directiorate constantly to be able to update owners of such hospitality facilities on how to keep the place to prevent the spread of the disease.

Mr. Kwasi Agyemang said the coronavirus pandemic has compelled the Ghana Tourism Authority to cancel most of it’s programmes aimed at promoting “Beyond the Return”.
