The Akyampimhene of Suhum Traditional Area in the Eastern Region Oheneba Amoako Darko has called on traditional rulers in the country to foster unity of purpose in order to facilitate development.

He said unity played a very important role in the socio-economic development of every nation.

According to the chief, government alone cannot do all the development in the country but Traditional Leaders must contribute their quota in promoting development in their various societies.

Being a chief is not about possession of different types of Kente clothes but rather representing your people and lobbying for investors to invest in your societies to create job opportunities for the youth, he explained

Oheneba Darko hinted that, if Traditional Leaders are able to join hands with investors unemployment rate will reduce drastically.

Oheneba Amoako Darko made the call during a gathering with some foreign investors from the United States of America who are ever ready to invest in Suhum and its environs.

Jojo Blankson speaking with the investor from the United States of America who is the Development chief for Central Region, Nana Dakrabo I has expressed interest to invest in Ghana, especially Suhum and its environs.

The investor has however admonished other foreign Nationals to invest in Ghana because the country is peaceful and conducive to investment.
