The Minister for Zongo and Inner City Development, Hon. Boniface Abubakar Saddique with the help of Qatar Charity in Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization has distributed 200 food items to Muslim families to assist them in the month of Ramadan.

The items were distributed at the Madina Libya quarters and the Madina Social Welfare. Beneficiary families of 200 took home 25 kilos of rice, 10 kilos of sugar, five litres of cooking oil, 800 grams of tomato paste and a box of Lipton.

Speaking to the media after the presentation ceremony, Hon. Boniface Abubakar Saddique mentioned that the donation, was to assist the less privileged in society which he said would go a long way to support these families fend for themselves throughout the period.

He further advised the Muslim community to forgive those who have offended them and also continue to support each other.

Also speaking to the programs manager of Qatar Charity, Adam Hussein mentioned that the donation is to make life comfortable for the less privileged and by so doing. He further prayed to Allah to accept their donation and heal the land.
