A security expert is urging the police and their affiliated law enforcement agencies to support Kennedy Agyapong’s avowed campaign against religious leaders he claims are fake.

Adam Bona believes the evidence Mr Agyapong claims to have against these alleged fake pastors and those he has been publishing should serve as fodder for a comprehensive police inquiry into the allegations against the pastors.

“It makes the work of the police very easy. Because then if he [Ken Agyapong] is collecting intelligence himself, the best you will do is to get closer to him,” he told GhanaWeb on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.

Kennedy Agyapong, who is the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has been on a crusade against religious leaders he said have been swindling innocent Ghanaians.

He said some of these pastors have been profiting unduly from their members and flaunting their ill-gotten wealth.

Not too long ago, Mr Agyapong took on the Head Pastor of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, broadcasting videotapes he said are evidence of the pastor’s double life and criminal activities.

Recently, he has taken on the leader of another church, the Prophet Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, claiming he has evidence to prove some of his prophecies are fake.

Mr Agyapong, regarded as a maverick in Ghanaian politics, has said following his pronouncements, the Prophet has sent assassins to take his life.
