Former Black Stars Serbian coach Goran “Plavi” Stevanović who was appointed on January 2011 and sacked On 19 March 2012 has shared his experience with the team during his tenure.

According to the coach, coaching the Black Stars to reach the semifinals at (AFCON2012) in South Africa is his highest point in his coaching career.

The Serbian Coach Goran made it clear that he didn’t see any form of politics in Black Stars at the time he was in charge of the team.

“In terms of politics in the national team, during my stay with the Black Stars I never encounter that in all my doings and I believed I had professionals both management and the playing body”.

“My biggest challenge as a coach for the Black stars was after our game against Zambia in the Afcon 2012 when we lost that game that brought up my dismissal, all Ghanaians wanted victory but unfortunately we couldn’t make amends and that was the most challenging moment as a coach for the Black stars” Goran told Kumasi based Radio Station,ASHH FM.

The Coach couldn’t name his best Black Stars XI because of his love for all the players. “It will be difficult for me to chose my best ever Black stars player because of the love I have for these players and their love for me as a coach even this morning I spoke to Michael Essien”.

Coach “Plavi” as Ghanaians used to call him wish that another door will open for him to come back, “I will not hesitate even a second to say “Yes” when given opportunity again to coach the Black stars because I feels I have unfinished business with the team, there is something I started that I couldn’t finished and will be very happy to coach the Black stars again in future.

Though the Serbian Coach wish to come to Ghana but definitely not to be a coach of a club but the senior Male National team.
