The Hon. Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery has started clearly that, his ministry has no information on kidnap cases within 2013 and 2014.

Mr. Dery explained that, there were seventy seven (77) kidnap cases only just for the year 2013 and seventy six (66) cases in 2014 with no records.

He said, the former Minister for Interior, under the regime of NDC government, Mr. Mark Wayongo, failed to keep records on those cases, per documents met in office when he assume office in 2017 till now.

The explanation on kidnap cases came up in the plenary today, when the Hon. Member of Parliament for Builsa North and ranking member on Defence and Interior Committee in Parliament who was the former Deputy Minister for Interior, James Agalga filed a question, asking the Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery, what measures the government intends to put in place to deal with incidents of kidnapping of young women in the Western Region and other parts of the country.
