Kotoku Royals midfielder Mohammed Zakari is on the verge of making history as the first player to feature in all 34 Ghana Premier League games for the club.

The enterprising midfielder is just a game away from reaching the feat in Kotoku

Royals’ debutant GPL campaign.

Zakari, who has enjoyed a decent campaign despite the club’s demotion to the Division One League will become the first player to make an appearance in the league if he features against Karela United on Sunday.

The Oda-based club will host the Pride of the West at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu in the final round of the Ghana Premier League.

The highly-rated midfielder has 33 appearances so far, starting 32 and making one substitute appearance in the process.

He has scored one goal and provided two assists in the domestic top flight.

Mohammed Zakari joined Kotoku Royals after ending his spell with Inter Allies following the expiration of his contract.

Mohammed Zakari’s performance this season has attracted a lot of interest from Premier League Clubs both at home and abroad.
