The Porcupine Warriors have been paired with the reigning Mauritanian Premier League Champions in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. 

Asante Kotoko will be battling out with FC Nouadhibou in the CAF Champions League this month.

The Ghanaian giants were drawn alongside the Mauritanian club during a draw for the competition on Monday.

Winner of the two-legged fixture will face either Al Hilal of Sudan or Ugandan giants Vipers FC.

FC Nouadhibou is the most successful club in Mauritania Football, winning their top-flight league eight times.

They have emerged as champions for three consecutive season since 2017/18 season.

FC Nouadhibou was founded in 1999.

The club qualified for the group stage of the 2019-20 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Triangle FC of Zimbabwe 4-3 on aggregate in the play-off.
