Nii Ayi Okufubuor I, the chief of Ngleshie Lafa, , a community near Mallam in the Ga South municipality in the Greater Accra Region, has called on Ghanaians to embrace the self help spirit to accelerate development in their various communities rather than waiting on govt to find solutions for their problems.

He made this appeal over the weekend when he supervised the desilting of drains and a clean up exercise in the community.

He bemoaned the menace of open defecation and urged the residents to desist from such anti social acts.

Nii Ayi Okufubuor I, promised to offer land for developments that will benefit the community especially jobs and appealed to the govt to extend the reach of the 1d1f into his area.

He called for all hands to be on deck in uplifting the community in particular and the country in general if Ghanaians want to accelerate development.
