Mr. Clement Amoh Omari the newly Ashanti Regional forest manager has stated that the Green Ghana project is a laudable idea that needs to be promoted and as the new regional manager, he will use the opportunity to plant more trees to beef our forest reserves in the region.

He said tree planting should be the major responsibility of everything Ghanaian irrespective of where one finds him or herself.

Addressing the Media at the send-off ceremony of his predecessor Mr. Gyedu as the outgoing manager of Bono Region, Mr. Clement Amoh Omari stated that in order to make his dream come through as the Ashanti regional manager of the forestry Commission, he said the media is very keen which he revealed his commitment to conceive with the media to work hard to make his goal achievable.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Ashanti Regional forestry manager Mr. Augustine Kofi Gyedu commended the people of the Ashanti Region for supporting him throughout his days as the regional manager.

He said the work is very difficult as we all know but with consultations with the stakeholders including the media the new regional manager can make it, adding that education is very important in every aspect of human life which he appealed to his predecessor to bring on board all the stakeholders in forestry department and educate them about what he wanted to bring on board for the people to understand the concept in order to win their support.
