The leader and founder of Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Kofi Akpaloo has revealed that his party is pleased with the Electoral Commission’s decision to set up registration centers in Senior High Schools to enable the EC capture data of students who have turned 18 years.

The Electoral Commission (EC) yesterday through their routine IPAC meeting made it known to all political parties in the country of its decision to move registration centres to Senior High Schools and register students who are eligible.

The news was not received well by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) citing constitutional breaches on the part of the Electoral Commission (EC).

Speaking on Ashh FM’s National Agenda, Mr. Kofi Akpaloo opined that normally students would have been made to go home and register but due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic hence the Electoral Commission’s decision to move registration centres to schools.
