NaGod Fc went to Koforidua Old Tafo to play as a guest to Susubiribi S/C in the ongoing Access Bank Division One League WK 27 at Rovers Park. Before NaGod Fc players, officials and supporters got there, all necessary arrangements have been done for us not to get any problem at the gate.

Susubiribi management especially  Martin Boateng Yaw ( Popo)  and the club owner ( George Afriyie) acted professionally in yesterday’s game. Among all the away matches we have traveled to, this is the best reception so far in the league. Our tickets were ready when we got to the venue.

Susubiribi S/C never took advantage of our fan base to increase the gate fee as some clubs have been doing when they play with NaGod Fc. They charged 5 cedis at the gate as they have been doing always.

Before the game was about to start, George Afriyie came straight to Edward Mawutor owner of NaGod Fc and hugged him then both walked to the VIP and sat close to each other.

This act alone tells me that George Afriyie has Ghana Football at Heart and thinks about how to develop the game and not three points at all cause.

In fact before the game, during the game and after the game everything was smooth.

We thank Susubiribi for giving us such a wonderful reception. If all teams can emulate what Susubiribi has done like there will be no violence at any league center.

I ( Odiagro Kofi Asante) have spoken several times on the phone with George Afriyie but I haven’t gotten the chance to speak with him one on one situation. I see George Afriyie as someone who is a unifier.
