The Ghana Health Service (GHS), will from today to Saturday, September 4, 2021, administer the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccines to persons 18 years and above who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine between 10th to 29th of March this year.

A statement signed by the Director-General of the GHS, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said all eligible persons are advised to produce a valid National ID card preferably the one presented for the 1st dose and their COVID-19 vaccination card to vaccination centers within their regions.

The Service is entreating the public to continue to adhere to all COVID-19 protocols such as the appropriate wearing of face masks and maintaining physical distance when visiting a vaccination center.

The statement said the Service is due to take delivery of a further 350 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine by the close of September 2021.
