WizKid, a worldwide afrobeat artist, has been appointed as the newest ambassador for PEPSI, an American multinational food, snack, and beverage firm. He will act as a brand ambassador for Pepsi in Nigeria after today’s announcement, assisting the company in a number of ways, including marketing ads, product launches, and brand initiatives.

Wizkid has become a cultural ambassador for his home Nigeria as well as a prominent advocate for human rights on the continent, with over 20 million social media followers and four hit albums to his credit. After creating a name in the 2000s with co-writing credits and feature spots, he established himself as an Afrobeats icon with his first three studio albums, Superstar (2011), Ayo (2014), and Sounds From the Other Side (2017).

The 31-year-old Nigerian is a platinum-selling musician and the first lifestyle ambassador to sign a worldwide partnership with PUMA Motorsport to concentrate on streetwear and motorsport. He has been nominated for the GRAMMY® Awards in the category of “Best Global Music Album” and has charted many times on Billboard. Made in Lagos, his fourth studio album, solidified him as one of Nigeria’s greatest cultural ambassadors and put him at the forefront of a worldwide Afrobeats movement.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time the Nigerian singer has been in the spotlight. He inked his initial arrangement with the multinational beverage brand in 2012, then in 2014, he signed a renewed deal.
