Goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko Emmanuel Osei Kwame has successfully undergone a surgery to correct an anterior cruciate ligament tear at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi.

Osei Kwame spent almost six hours and thirty minutes under the knife as the Head of Trauma and Orthopaedic Directorate at KATH, Dr. Konadu Yeboah corrected his anterior crucial ligament tear in his right foot.

“I thank Hollard Insurance Company Limited so much for coming to my aid to sponsor the surgery,” Osei Kwame told Kotoko Express App when General Manager, Nana Akwasi Gyambibi visited him at the Accident and Emergency Unit at the KATH.

“I thank the Management and the club. Players are mostly left on their own when they sustain an injury like mine. But the club stood by me through it all, and ensured that I get back to my feet.”

“I feel a new sense of happiness especially now that I am assured of full fitness. And I promise to come back stronger to fight for a place in the team.”
