Parliament of Ghana has given an approval to a commercial contract agreement between the government of the republic of Ghana represented by the ministry of Sanitation and water resources and Ghana water company limited and LR group for an amount € 133,332,500 for the Sunyani water supply expansion project phase 1.

The Deputy minister reiterate that, President Akufo-Addo will surely honour all promises made to Ghanaians as he has extended “water for all project” to the people of Sunyani and it’s environs.

Mr Boamah said, the water project will benefit the people of Sunyani East, Sunyani West, Tano South and Tano South all in the Bono and Ahafo regions.

The Deputy minister, Yaw Boamah further laid another loan facility of Seventy million euros (€70 million Euros) loan facility before Parliament which is expected to be used for Sekondi- Takoradi water supply rehabilitation and expansion project as soon Parliament gives approval to it.

He explained that, the € 70 million Euros would be used for the expansion and rehabilitation water projects in and around Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis in the western region .

The Deputy minister said, this project is expected to cover Sekondi-Takoradi, Asikado, Ketei, Kwasimintim, Efia and other area in order to supply the people living in these areas with a clean and potable water for their daily activities.

Mr Yaw Boamah expressed his gratitude to the President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and parliament for allocating such funds to the Sanitation and water resources ministry to Carry out such an important project.

He said, these are all clear indications of a promise fufilment by the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo as they promised in 2016, and that, the good people of Ghana should give another four year mandate to this NPP administration come December 7, 2020 for President Akufo-Addo and NPP government to do more for the country in terms of development.
