The Ashanti Regional Police Command has pledged to commence a thorough investigation into the shooting incident between the security personnel and the demonstrators at Ejura.

Briefing the media at the Ejura Municipal Police Headquarters, the regional P.R.O, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, pleaded with the general public and the bereaved families to stay calm and confidently count on the police for justice.

He also confirmed that one military officer got hurt and responding to treatment now.

The clash between the security personnel and the demonstrators claimed the lives of, Murtala Suraj, and Yussif Nasiru, leaving four others injured and are also responding to treatment.
