President Akufo- Addo says the for the first time in history , his government has taken over the full payment of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees for all final year students due to write the WASSE and in addition has made adequate provision for teachers and students from health, learning and teaching materials to ensure that the work is made a bit easy for them.

In an interaction with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools CHASS, President Akufo- Addo encouraged them on the need for all of us as “Ghanaians” to continue living our educational lives, amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.

He said all materials, health assistance, school and learning needs are ready as the final year students are back in school.

According to him, all measures such as social distancing, wearing of mask, using of sanitizer would be adhered too.

The President of CHASS, Alhji Yacoub A.B Abubakari expressed appreciation to the president for such a meeting in this difficult times of COVID-19 era.

He noted that preparation are far advanced to ensure that teachers are ready receive students.
