The Robotics Club of Prempeh College has clinched two world championship titles at the just-ended 2024 Robofest held in the United States of America.

The team from the school beat their contenders, who represented top-notch high schools globally, to grab the coveted prize of the Senior UMC and 2nd place for Senior Autonomous Taxi categories of the World Championship.

The jubilant team of Science students who emerged winners in a fiercely contested robotics battle at the Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, USA, arrived at the Kotoka International Airport with a rousing welcome by Management of Prempeh College, Parents and other well-wishers.

Engaging journalists during the arrival, headmaster of Prempeh College, Very Rev. Lewis Asare expressed excitement for yet another success chalked by the School. He however, called on the government, old students and corporate entities to invest more in such STEM related competitions.

The feat adds on the school’s record of cementing their hallmark at the international front after winning the championship two times in a row – in 2019 and 2020.

The Robofest World Championship is designed to foster and support Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, AI and Computer Science education.
