The MP of Berekum East Constituency of the Bono Region who also doubles as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health, Dr. Kwabena Twum – Nuamah has said the fight of Covid 19 is under control in Ghana since health personnel are seriously working to bring the spread of the virus down through the surveillance team.

He said the management of the disease is very high because the government of Ghana has make all necessary efforts to combat the spread of the virus in the country. He said an enhanced testing is still ongoing and is one of the sure step Ghana has taken to lower the spread and we are leading when it comes to the testing in Africa.

He urged the general public to follow all the preventive protocols to avoid the spread of the virus.

He continued that the measures put in place to fight the spread of the virus should be adhered to especially public gathering and overcrowding should be avoided in the various markets and drinking spots.

He called for the support of health institutions so that together we can fight the disease together.

He explained that, the government has resourced MMDC financially to fight COVID-19 in all aspects and the approved $100 million dollars by parliament is also in supplementary to manage the fight against Corona virus across Ghana.
