The Vanuatu Trade Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Prof. Hugh Aryee, on behalf of the President and the people of the Republic of Vanuatu, has sent messages of condolence to the people of Morocco and Libya to commiserate with them on devastations they have suffered in the past week.
The high magnitude earthquake in Morocco and the flash floods in Libya  have each claimed over 2.300 lives with several injured and thousands missing, who are yet to be located.
The Trade Commissioner assured the leaders of the two countries of the preparedness of the people of Vanuatu to offer any assistance that will be required and permitted under the circumstances to help alleviate the excruciating suffering and pain of the great peoole of the two countries.Ambassador Prof. Aryee also appealed to the international community to put deeds to their promises and expedite action to help rescue those who are still reported to be trapped under the rubbles in Morocco and in the flooded regions of Libya..

He also called for the early airlifting of the basic necessities to the two countries to reduce the harsh conditions and the accompanying trauma.
