The Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association on Thursday paid a courtesy call on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.

Led by their President, Joan Eshun, the visit afforded the association to invite the President to their 40th anniversary celebrations to be held in Kumasi in the Ashanti region in July. The association used the opportunity to express confidence in the efforts of the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The group also expressed satisfaction with the President’s efforts on technical education.

She said the strength of the association which stands at about 120000 members, contribute significantly to the economy of the country.
They used the occasion to appeal for a bus and called for collaboration with selected ministries to develop a national resource centre

For his part, President Akufo-Addo acknowledged the association’s usefulness to society, and pledged to facilitate their transport needs through the private sector.
He also welcomed the Winneba project and the suggested partnership with selected ministries to develop a resource centre.
