The Electricity Company of Ghana,(ECG) has launched ‘ REVENUE PROTECTION TASKFORCE’ to brought to book offenders who are using electricity illegally.

According to the Managing Director of ECG Mr. Kwame Agyemang Budu, some of the measures taken are to name and shame offenders.

He called on consumers to do the needful in order not to be put before the law.

He used the opportunity to caution the general public about purchasing fake meters from Togolese merchandise.

Meanwhile, the sector Minister, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh called on Ghanaians to pay their electricity bill’s so that, they could keep the light on.
