In a recent episode of the “100% Mommyfied” Season 2 Podcast Show, Vanessa Gyan hosted Gwen Addo, the dynamic CEO of Hair Senta, who shared her profound journey of personal and professional growth.

As the conversation unfolded, Vanessa Gyan asked Gwen about the pivotal moment when she felt she had truly evolved into a woman. “Was it overnight? Was it gradual? Was it maybe when you had your kids? Or maybe when you got married? Or was it when you became a mom?” Vanessa inquired.

Gwen responded with candor, explaining that her transformation was a gradual process. “I actually can have it all, and I do have it all. The shift happened gradually,” she said.

However, Gwen revealed that her most significant transformation occurred during a challenging period in her life. “I found myself in a place where I knew I was not supposed to be. It was a dark place, not good for me and not fitting where I wanted to see myself,” she shared.

In that difficult moment, Gwen turned to prayer. “I said a silent prayer: ‘God, if you take me out of this situation, I promise you I’m not going to be a sideline worshiper. I’m going to go all in.’ And that’s exactly what I did.”

Reflecting on why she ended up in such a place, Gwen admitted, “I wanted to fit in, to belong, to be recognized and seen as successful. But sometimes, in pursuing these things, we don’t end up where we’re supposed to be. We end up in places that do not edify or help us grow.”

Gwen emphasized the importance of not being too hard on oneself during such setbacks. “This experience enabled my turning point. If I hadn’t gone through that setback, that dark place, I probably would have just been drifting and not truly convinced about my faith and where I stand in Christ Jesus. These experiences are absolutely necessary to grow and move you to your next level.”

Gwen Addo’s story is a testament to the power of resilience and faith, inspiring viewers to embrace their journeys, no matter how challenging, as essential steps towards personal growth and success.
