The seven member committee investigating the smuggling and export of Rosewood is to invite MP for Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak and some officials of the Forestry Commission for questioning.

Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and Chairman of the Committee, Benito Owusu Bio who made this known to Oman news said the committee in few weeks take some firm decisions, name,shame and prosecute all individuals found guilty to the smuggling of Rosewood from the country.

He stated that the committee is about sixty-five percent through with its work having visited some areas where the ban species are being hervested and exported.

Mr. Owusu Bio said more rosewood have been impounded as a result of the committee`s work.

He made this known today in a briefing at the Ministry for Lands and Natural Resources.
