The Chairman of the Council of State, Nana Otuo Serebour ll has urged the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin to use his rich experience in Parliament to help bring out the best of this hang Parliament to Ghanaians.

He said, as Speaker of the 8th Parliament, his name would go down in the history of this country as Speaker of Speakers of Ghana’s Parliament should he use his experience to bridge the unraveling and misunderstanding among the minority and Majority in the House.

Nana Otuo Serebour ll, also assured the Speaker that, the council of State would also do everything possible to assist the Speaker to succeed since the failure to the Speaker would equally be a fail of the 8th council of the State.

The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin in response to the Council of State, said, the election on himself as Speaker of Parliament was a clear the work of God because he knew there were going to be challenges as the House was almost equally divided.

He further added that, the outcome of the 2020 elections was clear that, Parliament would be having challenges even though, he has a unique way of handling issues in the House, some of the habits of MPs would take sometime to change, all must learn to live by it in a very productive way.

Mr Bagbin concluded that with all the fights and chaos in the House is not the best, he still doesn’t see it as a challenge but an opportunity to rather deepen and entrench democratic society in Ghana.

These conversations happened today in Parliament when the council of State led by Nana Otuo Serebour ll paid a courtesy call on Speaker to find the best way to handle the misunderstanding and chaose which has been happening in the 8th Parliament.
